Seattle area construction look ahead
The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.
This week's highlights:
- January 8 - 11: Westbound I-90 closed between Bellevue and Seattle; traffic will be diverted to the Express Lanes.
- January 9 - 10: 23rd Ave. closed at E. Union St. and S. Jackson St. for underground utility work.
- January 9 - 11: 12th Ave. S. & S. Main St. intersection closed during roadway work.
- January 15 - 18: 23rd & E. Madison St. intersection closed for underground utility work.
- January 18: Sidewalk on the east side of the Aurora Bridge closed through September for painting project.
- January 18: 24/7 lane closures begin on Aurora Ave. N. between the Aurora Bridge and Highland Dr. during installation of foundations for overhead signs; work is expected to take approximately 7 weeks.
