The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.

This week's highlights: 

• May 16: Fauntleroy Expressway Bearing Pad Replacement Project begins; nighttime closures of Fauntleroy Expressway Sunday night through Friday mornings.
• May 20: Billy Joel concert at Safeco Field.
• May 20 - 23: Westbound I-90 closed between Seattle and Bellevue; westbound traffic diverted to the express lanes.
• May 21 - 22: University Street Fair will close University Way NE between NE 50th St. and NE Campus Parkway.
• May 23: Yesler Bridge Rehabilitation Project begins; Yesler Wy. closed between 3rd Ave. and 6th Ave. for approximately 16 mos.
• May 27 - 30: Northwest Folklife Festival at Seattle Center.
