Seattle area construction look ahead
The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.
This week's highlights:
- Jan. 4 - March 15: Connect 2020 Sound Transit project continues with service reductions and one final weekend closure March 14 - 15.
- March 13: Full northbound closure of the SR99 Tunnel for monthly maintenance. Friday 10 p.m. - Saturday 8 a.m.
- March 13 - 15: No Link service between SODO and Capitol Hill. Trains will stop running 9 p.m. on Friday and resume 5 a.m. Monday.
- March 14 - 15: Montlake Blvd E reduced by one lane southbound near the westbound SR520 on-ramp entrance. Saturday 6:30 a.m. - Sunday 10 p.m.
- March 14: NB I-5 reduced to one lane from N 80th St. to 1st Ave NE. 10 p.m. - 5:30 a.m.
- March 14: Mercer St. on-ramp closed to SB I-5. 10 p.m. - 6 a.m.
- March 21: University St. fully closed from 4th Ave to 5th Ave for a crane. 4 a.m. - 7 p.m.
- March 21: 4th Ave closed from Stewart St. to Virginia St. for a crane. 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- March 21: 9th Ave closed between Pike St. and Pine St. for a crane. 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
